Fun at Pune

As I had said in my previous blog, I had gone to my cousin’s marriage in Pune. I had a very good time because, unlike my other trips to Pune, I wasn’t travelling with just my family (my parents and my sister), but with almost all of my closest relatives. It was really fun because we were racing each other’s cars down the road. Also, I had met many of my cousins after a really long time. Actually, I met some of my cousins whom I had never met in my entire life and they were almost of my age!!! Also, the newly married couple looked very pretty and the whole marriage ceremony was really extremely grand, in terms of the decoration, food, everything! We got to know the groom’s family, they are all very nice people and I think my cousin is really lucky that she got to become a part of such a nice family.

I enjoyed dressing up for the occasion. The ceremony was of three days: one day for some initial rituals and mehendi drawing session where henna tattoos are drawn on the bride’s hands from her fingers to almost her elbows and also on her feet, the second was the day of the marriage ceremony and the last day was for the reception party in Mumbai. I had bought two churidar dresses and a saree, with a lot of different types of jewelry as well. I was a very tedious shopping trip but was worth the efforts!

I’m posting a couple of photos of my dresses! Hope you all like it!

I think, I should be blogging more, so I’ll try to write more blogs in the next few days!

BTW, a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL! 😀 😀

  7. Happy Holidays!

Congratulations once again on your cousin in the marriage! I wish them an everlasting relationship filled with happiness and love. It sounds like there was a huge gathering for the family. Racing down the road sounds fun, only if it’s safe! This sounds like a nice ceremony :)!

The ceremony sounds so complicated with so many things going on! It is good to hear that everything is traditional and whatnot.

You look pretty in those outfit! I’m looking forward to more blog posts.

    Take care!
